Materials

We chose aluminium for our casing because it is light, can be milled with high precision and is fully recyclable. Anodising is an electrolytic passivation process that increases the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. The process is called anodising because the part being treated forms the anode electrode of an electrolytic cell. Anodising increases corrosion and wear resistance and provides better adhesion for paint primers and adhesives than bare metal.
